Of all the images I capture in nature I find waterfalls the most peaceful and also most exhilarating. After a failed attempt due to roadworks on my previous visit I was finally able to visit these beautiful falls in April 2016. The falls themselves are stunning and I must go back when there's been a bit more rain. The walk in through the rainforest was equally as stunning with canopies of giant tree ferns covering the path that were surrounded by tall pencil thin gums shrouded in mist.
Why no shot of the walk in? I'll let Sean O'Connell explain:
Walter Mitty: When are you going to take it?
Sean O'Connell: Sometimes I don't. If I like a moment, for me, personally, I don't like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want to stay in it.
Walter Mitty: Stay in it?
Sean O'Connell: Yeah. Right there. Right here.
Beauchamp Falls is in the Great Otway National Park, Victoria
